Lisa first joined the Bianchi Presta team as a first-year summer law student in 2022 and is now completing her second summer at the firm. She is working toward obtaining her Juris Doctor from the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law at Lakehead University.
Prior to law school, Lisa completed her undergraduate degree at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) in Business Management with a major in Law and Business. Between her studies, Lisa worked on several student-led businesses, participated in business competitions, and was a member of the Social Ventures Zone for entrepreneurs. Lisa continued to develop her passion for law and organizational development during her time as an Executive Legal Assistant and then Operations Manager before starting law school in 2021.
Lisa has been heavily involved in law school through her role as a peer-mentor, a Dean’s Fellow assisting first-year students with their understanding of Contract Law cases and concepts, and through her participation in the Arnup Cup moot court competition in 2023. This school year, Lisa will be working with the Intellectual Property Law Clinic at her school assisting community members and businesses with their intellectual property needs.
In her spare time, Lisa enjoys travelling, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her dog.
