Our community is our home and we take great pride in giving back by offering our time, resources and talents to support and participate in a wide range of local organizations' initiatives, charities and community outreach programs that promote a better tomorrow. Our hope is that our small contributions will help make a meaningful and positive local impact in both the City of Vaughan and the Greater Toronto Area.   

As a mid-sized full-service law firm, we have taken steps towards leading by example in our quest to serve as a corporate role model and responsible environmental citizen.  

Bianchi Presta’s Environmental Conservation Program

As part of our ongoing commitment to being environmentally conscience, we have developed our own waste management and environmental protection program based on three simple principles of: (1) Reduce, (2) Reuse and (3) Recycle. Our multi-faceted, long term strategy aims to minimize our firm’s environmental footprint. Our Environmental Conservation Program Committee has developed and implemented the following initiatives in our office:   

Paper Reduction Strategies

We are taking steps to reduce our reliance on paper consumption by shifting towards a more paperless business. Our long-term goal is to become a completely paperless firm and we have already taken steps to reduce our paper consumption over time by adopting new policies and procedures relating to the use of scanning and electronic distribution of documents. We are also pleased to announce that we have recently implemented the use of electronic document signing as a value-added service to our clients, which is not only environmentally friendly but also extremely convenient for our clients. Lastly, we have also transitioned towards using paperless pay stubs and sending electronic invitations.  

Energy Conservation Initiative

We have installed motion sensors in our firm to ensure that our use of lighting is limited to when needed. We are also in the process of either replacing, modifying or converting our computers, screens, printers and other office equipment to more energy efficient models. Our firm also participates in an equipment retiring program involving the recycling, donation and disposal of our legacy equipment.  

Water Conservation Protocol

Bianchi Presta’s staffing area is completely bottleless. Our staff are encouraged to use reusable BPA-free water bottles and we provide multiple water dispensers around our office. Going forward, we are also planning to transition to censor-activated sinks to further reduce and moderate our water usage.
