Your responsibilities will vary depending on individual circumstances, practice area and level of experience. However, general duties include, at a minimum, scheduling appointments, overseeing and processing e-mail intake, highlighting deadlines and key dates, preparing legal documentation and letters, preparing invoice statements, booking travel arrangements as well as delegating tasks to and coordinating with other administrative assistants as well as our Accounting Department.

New Position Opening: Real Estate Law Clerk - Leasing (Commercial & Industrial)

Minimum Application Requirements:

(a) Completion of a post-secondary Law Clerk program / Legal Assistant course; and

(b) Minimum of One to Two (2) years' experience as a Law Clerk in Real Estate practice area with a particular focus on Leasing - Commercial and Industrial.

Requisite Skills & Experience:

  • Extensive knowledge in use of Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g. Word, Excel & Outlook) – Familiarity with tracking changes in documents & running document comparisons are an asset;
  • Proficiency working with LawyerDoneDeal & experience with PC Law, Teraview and Cyberbahn;
  • Under legal professional supervision, preparing legal documents and correspondence according to precedents and/or instructions (drafting letters, revising draft documents and preparing document comparisons for various types of commercial & industrial leasing agreements including: leases, assignments, amendments, lease renewals, surrender agreements and invoicing.
